I never said I’m scheduling the routine. In my work, works comes to a halt during Mardi Gras. Lucky me.

Sucks I have to miss the peerades

By law you get 12 weeks unpaid.

My company gave me 6 weeks paid, then I could use sick or vacation after that, or just not get paid after the 6.

Our first is due in April. I run the company and I'm pretty nervous about leaving for too long. My boss, er dad, said he'd step back in to take over for a few weeks, but he's not as young as he used to be and I know it will be hard on him. I plan to do a week off, then partial days after that. Though honestly I'm always on the clock. All is subject to change, but that's the plan on paper. We'll see. Just hoping for a healthy mom and son. The good thing is my wife is a teacher and gets all summer off.

1 week minimum, 2 weeks if you have the time off and the business can handle your absence.

I took 2 full weeks. Daughter was born the Wednesday before thanksgiving so I took Wednesday as vacation, Thursday and Friday were company holiday, then the full two weeks after. Worked out really great.

Starting 1/1/19 my company went to 4 weeks paid for moms or dads.

cute how you think you'll schedule a newborn.

Well if you know it’s going to be a c-section you can generally plan

My last two came on the exact day we’d planned months prior

I’m going through this now. Company gives a month paid. Although I’ve still been doing some work since it’s easy to work from home at my company

Month off for each. About to do it for the 3rd time. I’m going to be working 40 more years at least, it’s important to me to have that family time. I’m sure on my deathbed I’ll think I did the right thing.
