Seeing AOCs designer mask got me thinking.
How long will urban idiots wear masks?
I'm thinking it'll be indefinite at this point.
It's become a fashion symbol for many.
Thoughts?

Why such a jerk? This is an OT board for random topics. If you don't like that why are you here?

I like wearing the mask. Don’t have to shave, people don’t know who I am when I’m out, keeps my face warm in the cold. I’m gonna milk this thing as long as I can.

I wouldn't.
However, mask wearing has become something pushed onto others. If people wouldn't demand others do it, I wouldn't give AF.

No I meant who gives a shite if people want to continue wearing masks. Not about the fact that OP made the topic.

This I can agree with. If you continue to wear your mask even after it's been deemed safe to take it off, that's on you. Don't give me dirty looks though.

In the spring my hours at work were cut so I began to make masks for my family. Then my friends wanted them. I then branched out to neighborhood and friends on FB. Then I was asked to make some for a funeral. I charged 5.00 per and made a lot of money. I made some Mardi Gras ones today to mail out. I have taken old school uniforms apart to make some for teachers. Not a bad side gig.

Keep in mind that "fancy" or "designer" masks are likely useless. And, they're probably made in china.

Probably about as long as rural dumbfricks wear MAGA hats.

my wife has had a compromised immune system for a LONG time, and was getting sick pretty frequently in normal times. She has not gotten so much as a common cold since the onset of masks, so after they aren't required - we will probly continue to wear them just because it is helping her to not get sick as frequently - and since her job is in the retail world, that's a pretty big deal for us.

I do not like them, but if us wearing ours makes people think we are dumb - well that is their opinion - and I certainly won't lose sleep over it.

Friend,

Masks are the new pocket square, a sign of refinement that can look beautiful while keeping you and others safer from respiratory viruses. I wear an N95 covered with a bespoke tailored mask of the finest fabric. Let me know if you would like the name of Mother’s seamstress in St. Rose. She makes absolutely the best masks I have thus far seen.

Yours,

I heard a fairly successful comedian bitch for 10 minutes because his mom, very similar to your wife, who has a compromised immune system due to cancer and other issues caught the 'rona. He said she wears her mask religiously, everywhere she goes and is never without it. He blamed everyone else for not wearing a mask and proceeded to degrade those people. He said masks 100% work. Evidently, they do not, or his mother would not have gotten it.

Oh, he thinks she contracted it at the BINGO Hall. You know, one of the essential places she needed to be.

It's ok, we know you can't function unless someone is telling you what to do. It's not your fault.
