Stories like this plunge me into deep despair. Free speech and unfettered exchange of ideas are the cornerstone of democracy. In many ways, freedom IS the ability to hold whatever ideals are dear to you and to express those ideals without fear of censorship or punishment. If your ideals are specious, they should be beaten on the battlefields of debate and persuasion and evidence. Instead, we have private entities engaging in partisan censorship to the encouraging cheers of the mob. This is a terrible and a dangerous trend. Why can't more people grasp this truth?

Yeah, if you follow them on Twitter, they make several church related satire tweets. Pretty funny stuff if you're someone familiar with going to church.

Its hard to have a debate when the entirety of the other side of the argument is "your a racist". There is not much anyone can do to combat that. I mean look at Chris Pratt.
It also doesn't help having the guy in charge of our side of the aisle calling people pochahontas and Sleepy Joe even if it does make me laugh. It just feeds into the other sides made up point.

230 says that they are still a platform whether or not they block or remove certain kinds of speech
Congress would have to amend 230 for this to happen

If you equate what you said, to babylonbee articles, then you are part of the problem. It is a satire site. They state it. The jokes are never about hate speech, misinformation, or pedophilia. Pretending like it falls in the same category is like all the idiots that say, "everyone on both sides needs to unite" meanwhile ignoring the blatant criminality being performed by overwhelming majority coming from one side politically.

My MIL shared an onion article that proved that Hilary worshipped the devil. She was beside herself that anyone could vote for a devil worshiper....

My wife's cousin (Practicing Catholic) used to post the Bee stuff all the time until she became woke. Now she only posts progressive type crap. The site was great until it said something she didn't like to hear.
