Makes sense if they're putting road barricades in the bed to accomodate lane closures due to accidents

Are they going off road with these things? I get the game wardens needing these for animals and such, but why would a city cop need one?

Store gear? As said I've also seen quite a few used as unmarked vehicles.

The price for an F150 XL is not much different than an Explorer or whatever else the police are using.
