Also been there. The campus is super nice, but the rules are over the top. Must double strap your booksack if wearing one. And must keep hands on the rails when walking up stairs

You do realize O&G companies are heavily invested in other technologies correct?
Exxon was among the first overall companies to dump money into renewables

Or you will be warned and eventually be asked to leave

Will be less major oil companies in next 5 years due to mergers & acquisitions
Lots of streamlining going on with impending macro disruptions

I visited there as a customer and don't recall being told about any of these rules. I guess they didn't want to lose the contract over some BS about booksacks and handrails. I liked the area with the vintage gas pumps and Exxon sponsored race cars.

I can't see all the EV charging stations in that pic. Maybe around back?

Why not New Orleans
because no one in their right mind who’s lived in Texas would ever want to live permanently in the shithole that is New Orleans

The cube farms without walls are awful. You walk into a work area and say hello to one person and all the heads pop up like a Meerkat village. Add in a few stuffed shirts in their all glass fishbowl offices and it’s a truly depressing place to spend more than a couple of hours. At least they’ve got plenty of room for the Dallas crew, what with the way employees throughout the organization are flying out the door.

Cube farms are pretty soul sucking depressing.

They are “energy” companies now.

The O&G companies will just buy all of the "green energy" companies. That baw will be charging his EV at a Chevron station in 10 years

Yep, because gasoline is the only quality product that comes from oil & natural gas.
There’s also a ton of charging stations out in rural Texas, New Mexico and Wyoming.

The speed limit is like 13 MPH or something weird like that. If you go 14, they take a picture of your license plate and auto email your meeting organizer.
I worked there for a month and this happened to me. Was sitting in a meeting and my Exxon host laughed and showed me the email stating I had been speeding. He was really cool about it. This was the first week I was there. I was real careful the rest of my time there.
The campus reminds me of what Google or Apple would have. They have a ton of different restaurants. Other amenities like a barber shop. Idea is you come to work and not have to leave during the day.
