5.4 in Midland, America. I was in our little office (which is a room of a trailer). It felt like someone was rocking the trailer back and forth. I didn't know wtf was going on. Jumped up to look outside thinking it was the wind.

Who else was in a trailer today? It could have been you.

I would insert a political joke here, but it's no longer allowed.

It was definitely weird to feel everything around you rumbling.

We used to have earthquakes a lot when they were fracking a lot around here. Always worried about the brick and floors of my house and shops.

Woke up to the hotel shaking in Chicago once.

Definitely not something expected there.

My first earthquake was in Mexico. I was sitting on a BOP door, leaning down reaching for a wrench and almost fell in the Bay of Campeche. I thought maybe my blood sugar was low until I heard the drill pipe rattling. I submitted for a hazard pay (extra $250 a day), but was denied.

we had one (5.0) in NE Ohio when I was ~9 or 10 y/o. we were sitting in class in the middle of the school day when shite was shaking like fricking crazy.

had no idea wtf was going on, so I stopped, dropped and rolled to the back of the classroom. apparently that’s not the correct protocol for earthquakes tho bc everyone was laughing at me when the shite stopped after a few seconds.

afterwards, we evacuated the school and went home early.

I was drunk when I experienced my first one. I had just moved to CA and woke up to shite shaking and noise. It was quick so I rolled over and went back to sleep thinking my neighbors were just loud. The next day my friend's wife asked me how my first earthquake experience was. I had no idea until then that's what had happened.

My first two trips to California included earthquakes, first one was pretty significant shook shite off tables of hotel, the next one we were at hotel on the bay and got earthquake warning and tsunami warning, almost at the same time. I was like WTF, do we go up or outside ???

My first one was as a kid going to work with my mother. The Stardust had just built a new tower and she was doing the housekeeping inspection. The whole building started swaying back and forth

If the President can’t remember what he had for lunch then I’m sure a slip here or there wouldn’t get you in trouble.
