Depending on what vehicle you drive, here’s what they made during WWII. Many of these companies also made other things as well, especially companies like GM.
Audi (then called Auto Union)
Sd.kfz. 222
Buick
B-24 (engines)
BMW
FW-190 (engines)
Chevrolet
1/2 ton truck
Chrysler
M3 Grant
Daimler-Benz
Kar-98 (barrels)
Dodge
B-29 Superfortress (engines)
Fiat
G.55 Fighter
Ford
M4 Sherman
General Motors
DUKW Amphibious Landing craft
Honda (Tokai Seiki)
Nakajima KI84 (propeller)
Isuzu
Sumida M2593 armored car
Jeep
Of course
Kawasaki
Ki-61 fighter
Mitsubishi
A6M Zero fighter
Nissan
Type 80 Truck
Porsche
Elephant Tank Destroyer
Toyota
Model KC-1944
Volkswagen
VK Schwimmwagen

It was the main light reconnaissance vehicle for the Wehrmacht for most of the war. It had good speed, range, and off-road capability. And it’s automatic 2 cm. cannon and coax MG34 gave it good firepower.

Swapping from the Allison to the Merlin is what made the P-51 a legend.

When I realized their planes probably shot at my grandpa - I traded my Mitsubishi in for a Dodge
Now I have a Chevy

Playtex (the bra and girdle company at the time) made the spacesuits for the Apollo program.
American ingenuity is something else.

The twin of a Mitsubishi I bought new at my local Dodge dealership in1982:
I knew a Bataan Death March survivor (who died in 2018) who only drove Toyotas over the past 40 years. He had many more reasons to not buy Japanese (if that were a legitimate reason) than did you did but he chose more wisely. That wisdom probably contributed to him surviving what he did.
Good luck with your plan.

Until someone brake checks you and all those gas tanks blow up

Funny that Porsche made the Elephant, because it was an enormous piece of shite. Probably the worst vehicle made by any nation in WW2.

Ok - good for you? Don’t really know what the hell you mean but to each his own, huh, a-hole?
My spouse’s godfather was in the Bataan death march and was a POW - he lost his leg and his balls - he’s the one who told me about the Mitsubishi airplanes - I did it for him
He always drove domestic cars
My dad’s Dodge Ram 50 from 1988 was a Mitsubishi but my grandpa didn’t care
People survive for different reasons, not really sure if car reliability or resale value is one of them
