Why? Why would you wish that upon anyone?

Because some people don't learn unless they are forced to deal with the consequences of their poor choices.

They are looking at moving their Corporate Headquarters again so this doesn't surprise me.
The entergy CEO lives in the woodlands and their planes are always at the Conroe airport, wouldn’t be surprised to see yet another company relocate to TX. Considering they have a monopoly on the woodlands power grid it would make sense for them to set up shop here.

My guess would be Texas, Metairie, or Jackson. Probably not Jackson, but it's an option.

That storm restoration money is from past storms to recoup money already spent. Every item gets approved by the regulator which is either the LPSC or Nola. It is not something they get to spend on future expenses. In other words, the audit you are asking for has already taken place.
This is correct. Last year’s Hurricane Laura restoration cost will kick in next year so restoration for Ida more than likely will be approved by the PSC to start in 2023 or 2024. That’s just the way it works

Transmission Headquarters is already in Jackson

Yep def an option. I guess Little Rock too. Woodlands, Metairie, Jackson, Little Rock. Nolas days seem numbered.

The utility company which owned the streetcars, gas and electric utilities in NOLA (and all major Southern cities pre Depression Era) was American Cities. It went bankrupt due cities would not let them even recover cost to operate so they could make election hay with the masses.
I doubt that anyone on the city council knows much about utilities much less be able to regulate their pricing and services.

The city of New Orleans should take over the energy supply. It will be a modern fricking utopia.

Yeah bros. Let's bring back NOPSI. That worked out so well the first time around.

See ya! Time to move on and see how much greener the grass is.

How can NO purchase Entergy NO, when they cant pay all the judgements against them now.
Posted on 9/21/21 at 8:24 pm to GreenRockTiger
God. I would pay money for the city of New Orleans to run the utility company. I would have to buy a house closer to the 17th street canal to watch the shite show unfold daily …from across parish lines obviously.

cant pay
You don't understand the difference between the ability to pay and the decision to pay when one has no obligation to pay an unenforceable judgment.

The City of New Orleans' credit rating is junk even without their refusal to pay judgements. The City stiffs contractors too but that doesn't make it good business; credit rating agencies know the City is busted. This is a city government that willingly forgoes buying any type of insurance primarily because they cannot afford it (and doing so would impede the City's ability to beg for handouts from the federal government.)
