Gayle Benson seems like a bizarre person.

Somebody wanna give me a quick explanation of why NFL team leadership is involved in local church scandals?

This is New Orleans. Relationships mean more than anything else when it comes to business. Means more than competence, or pricing, or merit.

So... Aymond was the matchmaker for Gayle and Tom. Before they met, Gayle was a somewhat of a black sheep from a relatively well to do family, but very much someone living on money she did not earn.

Everything she has now - all the power, all the influence, all the money, is because she met Tom, and she met Tom because she and her family knew Aymond, and because she was invovled at the Cathedral.

This is Gayle paying back her friend.

Why is the Catholic Church still standing?

Because the church doesn’t condone this behavior. It’s corrupt individuals within the Church.

The truth is the truth whether the leadership is corrupt or not. It’s still the church Christ established even if it has to go back to only 12 again.

Public schools have raped more kids than anyone. Why are they still standing?

The same people that want to bulldoze Penn State will somehow defend the Catholic Church. It’s all about protecting your own interests, morals be damned.

neither should be done....but all corruption should be rooted out and i dont give a frick if they are a priest or the damn pope himself...if they committed or covered up sexual crimes happening within the church...should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

but in the end, not everyone at Penn state was guilty, just like everyone in the catholic church was guilty. just like everyone in the US isnt guilty if a group does it.

Time to boycott the Saints and Pels. Shouldn't be hard because both programs are dumpster fires at the moment.

It involved some of them also

"• Saints executives were so involved in the church's damage control that a team spokesman briefed his boss on a 2018 call with the city's top prosecutor hours before the church released a list of clergymen accused of abuse. The call, the spokesman said, "allowed us to take certain people off" the list."

You can’t suck and help pedophiles. That’s how you lose fans.

The Catholic Church is still strong in Nola. Why should we hold the football team to a higher standard lol.

This is very damning. A pro team shouldn't have its hand anywhere near something like this, especially so intimately tied to it.

It's one thing to have your staff help out a friend by drafting potential questions he'd have to answer. That's still wrong and an overstep.

But this:
quote:

"allowed us to take certain people off" the list.

..is beyond egregious.

Removing pedophiles from a list to protect them? WTF? That is a whole other level of wrong (and stupid to boot).

Old news

There needs to be an investigation of who released this so-called ‘information’ this week.

There’s some evil at play and it’s not the Saints.

Involved the saints brass?

No what you’re quoting is saying that the PR/legal/whatever work they helped with got some of the accused pedo clergy removed from the list of accusations. Apologies if I read your post wrong.
