Libs sky screamed at the initial prospect of Musk buying Twitter. Then they sky screamed again when he revealed how inflated with bots twitters user numbers are and threatened to back out. Now they’re taking a victory lap after their woke Twitter exec heroes got ousted. And they think the worlds richest man is dumb. It’s comical stuff.

By the way next week Rogan needs to do a sequel of the Dorsey/Tim Pool podcast. The guests this time:

Rogan
Tim Pool
Elon Musk
Tim Dillon (as the comic relief)

I mean a CEO is kinda useless when a company goes private. Same with the CFO and top lawyer.

Uhhhh large private companies have c-suite executives...

So why did they not already do that?

Explain in detail

Change of control. Corporate honchos at large public companies these days get a significant amount of their compensation via stock grants, optiong grants, restricted stock, etc. All of that is subject to vesting. If they leave before it vests, they lose it.

BUT... these contracts often have a change of control provision. At the moment of a change of control - and Musk taking the company private most certainly is a change of control - all that stuff immediately vests.

Think of it this way... if coaches quit... they don't get their buyout. They hang around to be fired to get their buyout.

Well, the first amendment involves your relationship with government, not your relationship with a corporation.

Moreover, what Mr. Agrawal means by “healthy public conversation” is that only what he and his staff want to hear is not banned.

Now, this is the real issue. It's simply poor business sense to ban everyone who doesn't agree with you.

I suspect something sad has happened: I think Ben relapsed. Ben had been sober for four years and Tim also needs someone sober around him. I think Tim had to reluctantly let Ben go over it. I hope I’m wrong.

Correct, but Elon is also correct in his description that Twitter and social media like it function as a modern day town square. Let’s not pretend the Biden administration haven’t flat out said they want Twitter to restrict speech.
