- In a letter posted to Twitter (TWTR), Musk said he doesn’t want the platform to become a “free-for-all-hellscape where anything can be said with no consequences,” despite his stated promise to rethink on its content moderation policies and bolster “free speech.”

What was the CEO’s golden parachute ? I’m sure he wasn’t crying on the way out.

I’m not on twitter and don’t care about these people at all. I just think it’s funny that people think Musk really stuck it to these guys when they all just won the lottery and can easily get similar jobs at any other tech company.
This might be the best day of their lives lol
So why did they not already do that?
If they wanted to leave and could go to a better job, why did they not?
Explain in detail

A) Name a more important podcast episode.
B) Look around you. When Tim was saying that in 2019, I thought what he was saying was absurd. Is it now though?

genuine question, why does everyone care so much about this? is it because twitter banned trump?

Why does every single topic on here or in real life have to devolve into people talking about trump or Biden?

I heard it was approximately $54.20 per share owned at the time of the freeze.

Musk’s first move on Thursday was to oust Parag Agrawal...
I'm glad he was the first to go.
quote:
Mr. Agrawal has been quoted as saying: “Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment, but our role is to serve a healthy public conversation.” He thinks that Twitter should thus “focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.” The Constitution has not changed, and it is still the law of the land, fundamental to our democracy. Moreover, what Mr. Agrawal means by “healthy public conversation” is that only what he and his staff want to hear is not banned.

He needs to hire Libs of TikTok as content moderator and pay her big. She’s going to need the security.

Why did they not voluntarily forego their likely 7-8 figure severance package?

Look at World War I and Russia if you don’t think a World War and a Civil War happening simultaneously isn’t possible.

I didn’t say better jobs. I said similar jobs. Meta would hire any of them tomorrow if they want to keep working in tech. Their job was to maximize the value of the company and Musk bought at an inflated price.
Hate twitter execs all you want, but they did their job. And they are all getting tens of millions in buyouts
