You are right, he has said the plan is to take it private. But converting a PubCo to private isn't just transactional. Perhaps he will get his trusted Tesla team to work on the filings for this. Point is, it is not private yet and the last quarterly report was in July and unless he had the CEO/CFO that just left do it, which would seem odd to have them leave before instead of after. It will take some time to get it public so those functions for reporting will have to be done by someone.

He is treating every business when big businesses are bought out. I remember meeting a very well known business man that buys and flips businesses. His first thing to do was start at the top, get rid of them, then train from the ground up. There is many reports, books, etc that many of the top people do this.

There have been direct quotes from some employees bragging about being communists who didn't care about company profits. Working 6-7 hours a week. At home. Most of us have known what the real world is all about for a while now.

Do you really think I feel bad for these people? I’m sorry, Elon should fire everyone including the janitor. Of course they’ve made their own beds, but Elon has a lot of people and I find it hilarious. You probably mistook the sarcasm in my post where I was implying Elon was having such a good time firing these schmucks en masse that he needed to keep us informed what was actually happening.
Speaking of which, here’s one of these clowns who deserved to get fired and did, and removes his Michelle Obama memoir from his box saying that if Elon owned Twitter in 2008 that Obama would have never been President: Twitter

Honestly I’d be a Twitter executive for cheap. 300K Elon as well as moving fees is all I ask a year to work for that cesspool and clean it up. I’m way cheaper than Vijaya who was making 17 million a year.

Why are so many thinking Trump would use Twitter again? It doesn't make a bit of sense for him to take reading eyes from his platform to the competitor.

Because he will need it to get his message out to more people and twitter has way more users than his platform. The people using his platform are more than likely already supporters of him.
