It's hard to separate fact/fiction and coincidence here
But people are noticing that some crackpot Twitter personalities have WAAAAYYY lower engagement this morning. That Brooklyn Dad Defiant douche and Joy Ann Reid who you click on and see 25k likes and go "WTF" are getting hundreds to a few thousand likes from overnight/this morning.
It certainly aligns with the assumption that Twitter was helping prop those people up. It's really going to be insane if there is some way to quantify or show how Twitter systematically boosted the audience for these radicals like 100x over for years

Not for long. If it is discovered that they committed fraud, IE cooking the books on bots, etc... there can be plenty of lawsuits to claw that back. Elon has a much bigger war chest than some shite heal tech fascist that basically won $20m in a lottery.

The lion's share of Twitter's growth happened prior to the 2016 election when there was far less moderation. Hell, as late as 2015, ISIS fighters were openly shitposting on Twitter unabated.
