There were probably already created. Like I said earlier, people buy followers. That's probably what they did. I remember a few years ago some news person had under 1000 followers for while then all of a sudden he had several 100k. And he was outted for buying followers. Im not sure how that works, but I would think there is some type of "social media consultant company" that you can pay and they have a bunch of accounts they use to then follow people.
Now it would suck to have to work for that company and create twitter accounts all day long. I wonder if there are people who all day long, creates yahoo and gmail emails then create accounts with those emails. Im sure there is a quicker way to do it.. But I bet more people than not, with a few 100k or more followers have paid for followers. Its a game of perception
