Elon-Gate pressure is hitting Twitter - 49.3% of POTUS supporters revealed to be fake

The cockroaches are scattering now that Elon Musk has switched the light on at Twitter.
In addition to censoring viewpoints that conflict with the world view of Twitter, company employees also allowed a staggering amount of fake accounts to exist unchecked. This is apparently to help amplify opinions that twitter employees do agree with and to boost the perceived popularity of some public figures.
Not just POTUS - but entertainment figures have noticed that their followers dried up in a recent purge orchestrated after Elon Musk made a tender offer - including Mark Hammel.

Maybe Twitter was trying to rapidly clean up some bots before new leadership took over?

and damn near every news outlet (especially local ones) use Twitter as a source for "trending" news stories and validation of hte shite they report as "factual, unbiased, news".

Musk is either going to pick up Twitter for a lower share price, or some execs are going to end up facing charges for misrepresenting the user base of their platform to investors and the SEC.
In the meantime, the activist media will lose their mind and "uncover" all kinds of unflattering stores at SpaceX, Tesla, or The Boring company.

This seems likely. Lots of conservative tweeters were saying that their followings grew back the day the sale was announced and crediting Musk. But Musk hasn't had his hands on anything yet and the sale hasn't been finalized, so it must be an internal cleanup of the games twitter staff has been playing the last 6 years to manipulate followings and amplify approved thought.
