I work in maintenance but usually when these guys come in its usually across the board cuts?

Just wondering if this will just be confined to the office workers who have been freaking out over this

Friend of mine did this at several Georgia Pacific plants for Koch when they bought them as an outside consultant.

Didn’t five years in a row-marked up his cost 15% per year as per Koch’s agreement and at the end of five years I think his last comment was “well they haven’t changed a thing.”

I don't work in a plant but it's always been the end of the line for me in my experience. It's always resulted in me being laid off

My last job Boston Consulting Group came in and identified me as someone making too much money. The recommended me be replaced with an H1B. H1B lasted 2 months before they called me trying to get me back and I told them to eat shite

Bean counters like BCG only see dollar signs they don't understand that Indian workers are dog shite, which makes sense because a lot of the BCG consultants who interviewed me were Indian

Maintenance is the hardest position to fill in most plants. I'm not sure where you are located or you're specialty/focus, but there are many other opportunities. As a recruiter I have maintenence openings in almost half the plants I support..

Here we go. Just remember the Hawthorne Effect. Individuals will modify or alter behavior because they are being observed. Dates back to the 1920s.

Are y'all union? They might realize that they can get as much work done with half as many non union workers.

First they’ll ask you to explain what goes on in this place that they know nothing about. They’ll manage to grasp about 25% of that information and then they’ll tell you that you’re doing it all wrong.

You about to be McKinsey'd

Biggest scam profession since Amway. Get ready for a shite ton of suggestions, committees, action plans and meetings about how to make your plant better all coming from a bunch of MBAs that have no clue about what you do, how you do it or why you do it the way you do it.

Ok you also better get yourself an acronym bingbo card. It'll make all those meeting and committees a little more tolerable.

Good luck but there is hope that those who buy into this crap will move up the ladder and you all can get back to reality soon.
