Does how early you wake up on your own correlate to how successful you are

Purely anecdotal but my parents always got up and at it in the morning and were very successful. Contrasted with my aunt and her kids who always slept in and always seem to have one problem after another holding them back. My brother and I likewise also get up pretty early and at it on our own while our cousins tend to sleep in hard and late seemingly totally unable to actually attack the day. They’re both basically stuck and really don’t have very good future prospects for employment and sort of blew off school as well and are obviously paying for it now in young adulthood.

Nah, usually fat fingers are the culprit. Not waking up early.

6:30 during the week. Weekends are kind of whenever. Usually between 8-9.

I've had a relatively successful career so far but I've never been a morning person.

I think it varies.

I work shift work, so I can't really get up at 3:30am every morning of the month.

I do get up at 3:30am for half of the month.

Marky Mark wakes up at 2:30am, and he is really successful.

There is this weird saying that involves birds and worms. You can make it out as you chose.

Eh, kind of depends on what you do and how you operate.

Some of the most successful people I know are generally night owls.

More likely how successful you are correlates to when you get out of bed.

Unbelievable.

If I would have started this thread, the board would lose their mind.

I think The Big Lebowski addresses this question. Look at the difference between Mr. Lebowski and The Dude

Probably has more to do with your routine. I've been waking up early for work for so long that im always up before sunrise. Even on weekends I'm usually up around 5. I like it because I get some quiet time before the wife and kids get up.

Not really unless you're in specific professions that require this, like investing

I am a late nighter and late riser (bed by 1230ish, wake up at 7)

I dont get to the office til 830.

I'd call myself ahead of the curve for mid 30s with no family money or handouts.

Just be productive and add value to whatever you do. Only boomers care about things like actual work hours.
