Does anyone remember a Sunday morning kid show on Shreveport tv from the 1970s?
Posted by LsuNav

I hope that I’m not remembering something that didn’t exist. I vaguely remember a Sunday morning kid show that had a guy in a robot suit called Mr. Remember Man. Does anyone else remember this? If so what was the name of the show?

I was a Bob and his Buddies fan.
I don't recall it personally, but my older sister told me about a local TV show out of Shreveport, and I think it was on Sunday morning. At some point in one episode, one of the kids starts laughing, and the adult asks "What are you laughing at?" and the little boy said "Leroy farted on TV".

Nope.
But I was a big fan of Polycarp Phillipe Pecot Number 2.
He was on channel 3 (KATC) in Lafayette.
We lived in the sticks, and we could only get it about half the time, but I always liked Buckskin Bill and his morning March on Baton Rouge TV.

If anybody can remember it will be my dad. He was coming of age in the 70s in Shreveport and remembers all kinds of shite like this. I’ll report back here

The one I remember from those days was HR Puff n Stuff. It wasn't locally produced, but it was something else. I can't imagine the amount of drugs the makers of that show must have consumed back then

No but does anyone else remember "Jot". He was a bouncing dot. The Sunday morning program was religious in nature and I believe produced by the Mormon church if I remember correctly.
Oh, and of course in Baton Rouge, we had Buckskin Bill on channel 9, week days with the Little Rascals presented as well.

Bob and his Buddies starring sports reporter Bob Griffin. Also had Wally Gator. That’s all I remember, I was more of a Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans guy.
Not sure of the years, but KMSS had a kids show. I think it was afternoons though. It had a mouse mascot name Kamis.
When I was real young we got a lot of over the air programming from Dallas. It may have been from one of their stations.

Yes, it was produced by the Southern Baptist Radio and Television Commission in Fort Worth, Texas. It was intended to be a Baptist version of Davey and Goliath.

Same here. All I remember was on Saturdays around noon every outdoor activity stopped to go in and watch Midsouth Wrestling to watch Junkyard Dog put the Thump on somebody.
When Another One Bites the Dust music started...it was on!
