Do you have an aftermarket car alarm?

I just found out that my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe is not equipped with an engine immobilizer or any kind of factory installed anti theft protections.
My car is one of those that can be started with a USB cord as shown in the Kia Boyz TikTok video.
Any recommendations on car alarm installers in Metairie or Kenner?
What would be the cost of an installed car alarm? I did stop by Mobile One on Clearview and I10 and they quoted me $750.

I don’t suggest spending $750 only to have your window smashed out anyway. Doesn’t seem worth it. I would suggest buying a ring camera & gun.

I drive a 20 year old Lexus that I intentionally leave unlocked. There's nothing in it to steal and nobody wants the car itself. I'd rather have a burglar open the door and dig through it than to have to replace a window.

Yea, I have a 13 yr old BMW…I think folks would be scared they’d have to steel another car to get where they are headed.

At home I leave my car open with the key in it.
A) I live in a nice neighborhood so Im not worried.
B) I like always knowing where the keys are
C) No one wants to steal my factory stereo or floor mats.

Not since 1989.

I now have a standard. No one is stealing that.

Rig a flash bang to your ignition or move to a city that isn’t worse than west Africa

I think I saw a news story where either Kia or Hyundai was installing security for free on those cars, so I would check with the dealership first.

I love the OT. Dude asks a serious question and gets 15 posts of nonsense. I’m no help. I don’t own a car. I ride my bike everywhere.

Move to an area where you don’t have to worry about people stealing your fricking Kia.

I apologize. I mistook the Hyundai Santa Fe for a Kia. I should have known those darn Kia Boyz were behind this.
