Apparently there's an infamous railroad bridge in NC affectionately known as "the can opener". It's a low bridge that catches a lot of trucks, so many trucks that someone put a camera on the intersection to capture the damage. I couldn't stop laughing at the compilation video

11 foot 8 bridge

I'm sure it's probably been posted before but IDGAF

When I was in my 20s I was driving the biggest moving truck you can rent. I pulled up to a Shell station or something like that, under the awning, and when I walked out of the store I realized that I had like 5" of clearance.

I'm pretty sure that was the first vehicle I had ever driven that was that tall. The thought that I didn't have enough clearance never crossed my mind. I just got off and wanted a 24 oz beer or something

Bruh. Why wouldn’t the city put something before the bridge for them to hit? Like McDonald’s does at the drive thru??

In May 2016, the city attempted to solve the problem by installing a traffic signal at the intersection, removing the yellow warning lights in return.[7] When an over-height truck approaches, the light turns yellow, then red, and a screen displays the message "OVERHEIGHT MUST TURN". The light will eventually turn green again, even if a truck driver chooses not to turn. The city hoped the long delay would give drivers time to realize their trucks will not fit under the bridge. However, trucks have continued to hit the bridge despite this, the possible reason being that local buses usually fit underneath but the sensors display the overheight message anyway.

You and I are on the same youtube algorithm.

I've been watching this channel for a few months now, but got a blast of these videos in the past few days.

I love them.

ETA: saw an awesome video of some guy doming his camper this morning. Luckily for him he won't need AC for a few months now.

The best one is in about the last 30 seconds. Old baw thinks to himself, frick it we'll fit, puts it in reverse, turns around and then hits it
