Plenty of people reinvent themselves in their 40s.
Hell I know a guy who was a real estate agent until he was 55, went back to school to become a nurse, and got a job with a BSN. Now he’s in his mid 60s and getting his NP degree.
You haven’t wasted your life until you’ve given up and died. Until then, there is still plenty to live for and plenty to do. Might look different as you age, but that’s life.

No. Not at all. I worked my tail off to get through school, get a good job, and move up in that job. All so I can get the things I have always wanted.
I’ll be honest though. I’ve been in coast mode for the last few years and it’s not all that. I miss the chasing of success. I’m just trying to figure out what I want to chase and share with others.

I'm 33 now and am going back to school for computer science. Never too late. I was also a raging alcoholic for about 10 years or so

Yes, much unhappiness with decisions I’ve made and lack of effort. Gonna try and take shite one day at a time, be proud of that days effort instead of weeks or generality. Try not to be self consumed, be good to your family, friends, or community. Those are ways to stop hating yourself.

Everyone defines success differently. I will be 47 this August and have lived a pretty tough life. All self inflicted. I was pretty poor monetarily speaking for the first 44 years of my life. I got a huge break and have taken advantage of it and finally made something of myself. It’s never too late to work hard and follow the lords guidance. You’re in his plans and he loves you. Find what drives you and what you enjoy even if it doesn’t pay the greatest. Last thought, never ever define your success on what you see others have. Money is only a means to an end and honestly I was happier when I had less money! God bless

Mine certainly has NOT turned out the way I had envisioned it would....but I try not to feel like I’ve wasted my life away.
Yeah things could have been so much better for me at this point in my life...but you know what? They could also be so much worse. I try not to focus on what I don’t have or what I’ve recently lost but instead focus on the blessings I do have and they are still so much to be grateful for.
Also...stop comparing yourself to others. It doesn’t help you in any way and that other person likely isn’t doing as well as it may seem to you.
