All my life, Uncle Henry Stockman. I collect knives and when I started hearing about the possibility of Schrade closing down in New York State, I loaded up on “Made in USA”. I will not touch one made in China.

Even cheaper, I would consider a CRKT. They have several models from $25-30.

Had a CRKT for 15 years, paid $70 for it. Really loved it so of course I lost it.

Now I use an el cheapo smith and Wesson knife from academy. Made in China and doesn’t feel super solid but I won’t care if I lose it.

I have several other knives too sentimental to carry around.

I’ve carried the Gerber Multiplyer for at least 30 years and don’t leave home without it.

I have 3 knives but my favorite is my Kershaw Hinderer. Nicely sized, holds an edge and has a window breaker on the blade when closed.

If you carry a knife consider investing in an electric belt sharpener. Those things are a game changer when it comes to always having a sharp edge on your pocket knife.

I've been carrying the Hinderer Cryo lately. I like both because they are straight blades, no recurve and are quick and easy to sharpen. They also have a reversible clip so you can carry them tip-up or tip-down. The same clip can be swapped to left hand carry if you're a lefty.

Same knife I have. It's a really good knife for the money. I like the straight blade and how well it holds an edge.

What if you needed to gut an obtuse receptionist one day?
