No, society wouldn't have. You only have to go back a few decades to see society's view toward homosexuality.
It'll never be totally accepted by society in spite of the media pressure. It's wrong, was wrong in the past and will still be wrong in the future.

The only time I get angry is when I feel a social lecture coming on, or a need to conform and accept the lifestyle. Two gay people or two puppy dogs don't make me angry. It's the message being preached that angers me.
