Three evenings per week—Motown Mondays, Jazz Thursdays, and Smooth Sundays—musicians will perform throughout Disney Springs, playing tunes sure to stir your soul.

I thought stereotyping entire cultures is how you get canceled.

In addition, select dining locations will feature special menu items,

including Amorette’s Patisserie offering treats inspired by Soul and Walt Disney Animation Studio’s The Princess and the Frog.

How does a functioning adult actually think any of this is a good idea?

Insulting, degrading nonsense

Are they going to play Song of the South to honor the first black performer to be awarded an Oscar?

I thought they would be appropriating four days from March to make February the longest Month of the year.

You do realize you do not have to go to Disney in February or support them in any way, right?

Why create outcry just because they are doing something to attract customers? If it isn't your cup of tea then don't go to those attractions or events. It really is that simple.

Virtue signaling is the new McRib. Get used to it though, it's here for the long run.

How does a functioning adult go through all of this effort to post about such mundane bullshite?

It's a private company that's offering African inspired dishes and playing African inspired music throughout their property. Get over it.

James Baskett was the first male. So the first one that mattered.

I don't really care either way, just find clown world humorous

Mexican night at Clemson canceled because the cafeteria workers wore sombreros

Playing Jazz at Disney because white liberal decision makers at Disney assume that's what blacks do

I don't know when cultural stereotyping is ok anymore

Ahh, here’s a fresh take everyone. “muh, private company.”

It’s funny to hear this, but if a private company didn’t pay it’s social tithe in regards virtue signaling the same folks would be screaming for them to be cancelled.

FWIW the man Walt Disney said was his favorite actor

*Actually that was Hattie McDaniel for GWTW. But we all know you meant well.

Took about 90 seconds to create the OP

It's not like I'm calling for a boycott, hell I'll probably bring my kids again when the mask thing drops

Just get tired of corporations treating black people like they're children. Don't you?

As already stated female performers are useless and shouldn’t exist so he was the first winner that mattered.

Neither Motown, jazz, nor”smooth” are African inspired music.

It's not racist to say that Motown and Jazz are culturally black/AA music. Same with the Blues. They exist because of black musicians.

Do they lose money? No.

Do they get to score virtue points? Yes.

Sounds like a fine idea to me.
