At a concert you usually come with your ticket, either electronic or physical, and stand ready to have it scanned. Now imagine going to that same show and, while someone is scanning your ticket, they also ask for your vaccine ID. So you pull it up on your phone and let them scan it too, allowing the venue to verify you’re up to date on your Covid-19 vaccine. It’s only then that you are allowed to see the show.
This isn’t a farfetched scenario. A group of businesses from the healthcare sector are banding together to create digital vaccine ID cards that verify Covid-19 vaccination status. In the future these cards, which can be stored on smartphones and other digital devices, may be required to gain entry into restaurants, bars, schools and airplanes. It’s a step that might be necessary in order to reopen the economy as quickly as possible.
“Hopefully we can quickly bring people who are vaccinated back into the workplace,” says Joan Harvey, president of care solutions at Evernorth. Evernorth is one of the groups working to develop these ID cards, along with MITRE, Cerner, Epic, Mayo Clinic, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, The Commons Project and other major companies. Together they’re forming the Vaccination Credential Initiative, which plans to create an accessible, secure way to prove Covid-19 vaccination status. These SMART health cards will be an encrypted vaccine record that can be stored in any digital wallet. For those that don’t have smartphones, says Brian Anderson, chief digital health physician at MITRE, the vaccine records can “easily be stored on a paper QR code.”

If an ID is not required to vote, then they can screw themselves with the vaccine ID.

Don't need an ID to vote, but you need one to go to a concert!

Like security will care enough to be properly verified. I'm sure fake certs could be made very easily.

OR we just tattoo our vaccination ID number to our forearm. something like this.

True, but the catch is that you'll have to submit your digital "Papieren" to even buy a ticket. Ticket sales will be solely online. Rolling up to the venue to buy a ticket is a thing of the past.
You must be digitally verified that you Think Correctly before you are allowed to travel or enter public spaces.

This is how backwards our damn country is. We've lost all hope.
Where are those damn aliens?

That kind of fricks the secondary market.

A $20 Voter ID disenfranchises poor people!
Let’s require people to have a $1000 smart phone to download an app for their corona pass!

Doubtful that would work. People buy in pairs and fours to be together. One person buys for everyone. If individuals had to purchase independently, friends wouldn't be able to sit next to each other.

Except that won't be acceptable proof. You have to have a digital certificate from their system, which is linked with the scanners.
You will be made to comply, or you will be banned from most businesses and public spaces.

One person reserves 4 seats and is given the codes for those seats. He can then give the codes to his friends who must use their website and enter their corona ID and receive the ticket transfer.

You'll simply have to submit the digital certificate of the people you're buying for. I'm sure it will be made super convenient to do so.

Since the proposed digital system doesn't exist yet it's impossible to know what will be acceptable.
Using your logic, the actual paper vaccination card I was given won't be acceptable "proof." I'm pretty sure it will be.

Oh it’s coming. Eventually, it will be stored on an implantable microchip. See Revelation 13:16-17.

Not for concert venues. Or anyone else who signs up for the digital system.

The great news is that because covid is an excuse for EVERYTHING people no longer have to even show up to vote. Let alone have an ID! Ballots are just mailed out to addresses. Maybe your neighbor votes for you. Maybe some bozo with an "Eracism" bumpersticker votes for you. Maybe your pastor does. No one gives a shite anymore!
Liberal "logic" provides that it is (de facto) mandated that you inject something into your body to do something as innocuous as attending a concert, but guaranteeing no one steals your "sacrosanct" right to vote is not that big of a concern.
