This blog has great coverage and on the daily live thread the testimony is being live-blogged, for anyone who can’t watch or doesn’t want to. I personally can only bear to watch the highlights because I can only take so much of the Minnie-Sodah accents.

this is great expert narrative from a guy that used to investigate police brutality. first part is him explaining his credentials, jump to 13:19 for his expert narrative of the camera footage

I always felt like third degree was a more appropriate charge than second (from the little bit I read/understood about MN law, at least)

Hopefully, they show the entire video during the trial. Once you actually see the entire video, it becomes clear what happened. He fought and resisted the entire time, much like a person on drugs would do. A man, who legitimately can not breathe, doesn't spend ten minutes fighting, yelling, cussing, and screaming that he "can't breathe".

Not that I enjoy that type of thing but it was pretty shocking to see that the dude was saying “I can’t breathe” well before any sort of consequential physical force was used.

You could play that on repeat for people and they would still believe that they encountered him, put him in a chokehold from the onset and he cried out saying that all in the 8 minutes.

But then again there are still people that believe “hands up, don’t shoot” really happened.

Is Minny one of those states where you overcharge them and you can still get a conviction for a lower grade of the same crime?

Ex - Murder 1 charge but manslaughter verdict.

Floyd is not saint but that cop should clearly be convicted with manslaughter or something similar.

I think you underestimate the blatant hypocrisy and partisanship of our media. Biden will not be touched. For anything. Ever.

What’s crazy is that is going to be what sets off this next round of riots.

Ellison and the DA going for murder 2/3 and falling short is going to set people off. Manslaughter is pretty easily provable and they would have got their pound of flesh.

This is one of the worst attempts at "trolling" and riling people up that I have ever seen.

Derek Chauvin trial

This dude is JUDGED guilty before the trial starts. The media has decide so.

Mob rules in this country, not laws. Just like in the OJ murder trial.
