Maybe, maybe not.
The issue is the cops actions.
Not defending Fliyd at all, but now that thug cop won't harm anyone else behind a badge

maybe it was a strawman but you seem to be backing it up by suggesting it happens because they dont trust their government officers and defending government officers murdering a civilian. Cops aren't your friend, they are government officers granted life-or-death power over civilians. It sure does seem like you are thirsty for big government if you believe the problem is not trusting the government enforcers enough
Stop trying to pretend that you are a small government libertarian. You aren’t fooling anyone. You are a woke weirdo leftist plain and simple.

The problem with this case is everyone (media included) sees it as “them” versus Whitey, when it actually has nothing to do with race.
This is a case about police brutality, plain and simple.

If DC had been born black, he’d be sitting at home in his recliner right now.

His arse would be under the jail. He’s Black

If he only got convicted of 2nd degree manslaughter, most posters would agree and think there’s a case to be made for that. 2nd degree murder, absolutely not.

Agreed. He's a first responder. He's trained in basic CPR. As are the other 3 officers. There was no suggestion or offering to administer that once Floyd was unresponsive after 6 minutes. Then to keep him pinned for another 3+ minutes when he's unresponsive and then to do that when the paramedics show up so much they have to tell Chauvin to move so they can do their job. No excuse for that.
Why didn't Chauvin turn Floyd on his side? Just so he could breathe. He's pinned with 3 officers within an arm's length of each other, he's against the SUV. He's handcuffed, he's pinned between 3 grown men and a vehicle, he's not about to run and if he were to try, there's a 4th officer within 10 feet and a 5th officer from the Park Police that could offer assistance. That didn't happen.
Floyd had a checkered past, that's understood but he didn't have to lose his life that day. He never threatened any of the officers with any threats.
Once in police custody, it's their responsibly for that person's well being. Period.

I’m amused at all the bootlicker comments toward those questioning the outcome
Pretending the modern authoritarianism debate inherent in this incident is cop vs citizen is so short-sighted.
Ah yes, being on the "side" of big tech, all major corporations, the entertainment industry, all major media, academia and the entirety of the federal government... How free thinking of you
