fricking weirdo.

You do realize that most businesses have set hours, and that employees of said businesses can't just show up and leave whenever they please?

But do continue being a sanctimonious twat if it makes you feel better.

It'd be nice to stay DST year round for longer days.

We get the same amount of daylight regardless of what your clock says.

You know exactly what the OP meant and are choosing to be obtuse.

This I understand, but the farming reason makes no sense they just have to shift their work schedule by an hour.

I know a lot of farmers and I dont know a single one that cares what time it is. Most get up between 430 and 5am. Work until dark, then sometimes work a few more hours on something in the barn.

Farming is not a 40 hour a week type of job.

The total amount of sunlight in a 24 period remains the same, it is all preference based.

The negative to permanent Daylight savings time would be later sunrises in the winter (about 8:30 am for latest in a calander year).

Me personally, I am ok with later sunrises in the winter in exchange for later sunsets in the winter. Therefore I am for permanent DST.

Someone who prefers sunrises year round to range from 6:30-7:30am for any number of reasons would be in favor of Standard time.

There's nothing scientific about it, it is all personal preference.

But it getting dark when I'm still at work sucks.

Dark when kids are waiting at the bus stop in March and April (DST) is worse.

Sucks even more when I can't get anything done outside when I get home from work because its already night time.

There is not much to do in the winter time.

Its dumb to take a time of the year when it already gets dark early, and make it get dark even earlier.

It had always been that way until we came up w/ DST.

I love standard time, but I'm a morning person.

I'm all for DST b/t Memorial Day and Labor Day. After that we should go back to the way it has always been.

We need to stay on standard time permanently. It’s utter ridiculous that they change the time every year.

More sunlight in the morning has always been better for plants. They were willing to go with the change after harvest but making it year round will be a deal breaker.

The sun still rises...

Just the time changes...

Given the choice, most people would prefer sunlight at 6pm rather than 6am.

As I understood it, this upcoming time we fall back to standard time is the last time. We'll stay on DST permanently after we switch back in the spring.
