That’s not what he said. What he said is divide the assets accumulated together and be done. There is no reason to continue paying and supporting her. That’s no longer his responsibility.

Half of that is probably just on LA property taxes.

Like I said there are circumstances that need consideration, but I don't care if he fricked every woman in South Central LA in front of her every single day they were married....she still doesn't deserve 300K/month...not even close.

Should could live lavishly on 20K/month.

No, both parties are entitled to 1/2 of what they accumulated over their time together. They are not entitled to the lifestyle maintained while together into perpetuity.

Child support is one thing. Spousal support is complete bullshite.

You realize he is the one fighting not to give her half right? He is THRILLED with this ruling compared to giving her half

I wonder how much money Ice-T makes off all the times that track has been cribbed by other artists.

This actually a win for him. She was seeking 2 million a month. If the pre-nup isn't upheld then he would be out of 500 million.

3.5 million us a lot, but better than 24 million annually she was seeking.

What the hell are they spending money on?

I'm sure he's got at least 1 plane, several boats, a dozen full time staff, etc.

That shite isn't cheap.

But that doesn't mean she should get this much. Hell, giving her $20k a month and buying her a house would be a sick deal for her.

Spousal support??? That’s something a husband and wife do for each other, not exes.

Absolutely not. That is a choice both spouses make together.

Marriage is the joining of all of me to all of her. There is no separation unless it is defined ahead of time in a prenup, and to me, that is no marriage at all. I'd never sign one, and I would never ask the woman I love to sign one.

My wife's earning potential was stunted because she assumed a role of mother and wife. This was a role that benefitted me and allowed me to get ahead in my career and increase my earning potential. That increase in earning potential is half hers if we split up (subject to bad behaviour on her part that is too complex to get into here).

Breaking news, wealthy people spend a lot of money. More at 6

ETA: There's absolutely no reason anyone should be upset about this. Dre is paying about 1% of his net worth a year, that's a major win for him.

You can say they make the choice together, but only one spouse in your scenario stayed home and watched the kids. No one forced her. She made a decision to do that.
