I knew a woman who was in line to pay for her groceries when a car came through the front of the grocery store, hitting her. She was in the hospital for several months.

The victim was a very beautiful person, selfless and service driven. The world is a darker place today. Prayers for the family left behind.

Very true. Two young daughters. Know her husband and we have mutual friends. She was an OT at the BRG. Very sad news. Can't imagine what her family is going through tonight.

So the driver that killed this woman is not being charged. The negligent homicide statute seems perfectly poised for this situation. I’ll never understand how the police and DA decide to assign charges.
