re: Cursing out cyclists on the highway

The biggest thing that bugs me out cyclists is how they want to be treated as equals on the road but I never see any following traffic laws. I see cyclists in their Lance Armstrong outfit blowing through stop signs and red lights all the time.

It mentions that they have equal rights to vehicles but can't impede the flow of traffic. Figure that one out. How is a bike doing 15 in a 55 not impeding traffic? And its so unbelievably dangerous.
There are minimum speed laws on the interstates. There should be minimum speed laws on all highways which also should apply to bikes.

these Lance Armstrong wannabees are a tad touchy, and maybe even a bit insecure
Share the road and follow the laws of the road and there is no issue, but a lot of cyclists are self absorbed assholes and don't care if them running a light interrupts traffic flow.

Been around triathletes the majority of my adult life (prior to moving to Alaska). Some of the most disciplined and dedicated people I know. Many triathletes aren’t riding in groups because drafting isn’t allowed. Maybe occasionally for a charity ride or a recovery ride. I stop at stop signs, red lights etc.
I’m also a person that usually not running late to things so having to slow down for something doesn’t bother me. It literally adds maybe 30 secs to your commute. If that upsets someone then maybe it’s time they take a look at themselves instead of being upset at a cyclist.

Bikes aren’t allowed on interstates (with a few exceptions).

If you’ve ever biked 75 miles in cotton you would understand why they wear bike shorts.

???
You're going to have to clarify this one. It comes across as someone with over 150,000 posts telling someone with 580 posts that I've responded to too many people in this thread I started.
But that can't be real.

Why are they out in the highway in tights on a bicycle with a line of cars behind them?
Bikes are gay clubs. Tight shorts, looking at another guys arse, “form fitting”, posh elitism, clothing “outfits”.
It’s ways homos identify each other.

We were inundated with them this summer, they did an ironman in Juneau.
Runners were not an issue. Bikers, bless their hearts.
And we have dedicated bike paths almost everywhere.
Most mountain bikers are better behaved than the road cyclists.

Tried to get a room so I could volunteer at the aid stations. No rooms anywhere. Great to see Juno hosting one of the Ironman events.

Post 20 is the last post on the page. No one reads the last post on the page. Settle down, Nancy.

Housing this summer was the worst I've ever seen. No hotels, rentals or apartments.
Only 31k live here, and we had over 5k for the ironman plus the normal tourists.

Nice. A totally random thought that won't be understood by anyone else who sees it. No chance that goes poorly.

At least 350 people will get it.

If I see that my post is going to be the last on a page I'll refresh and wait until someone else posts so I get that prime first post on the next page.

That is post-theory 101.
Advanced post-theory deals with things like when OweO has 50 downvotes and no upvotes you can give him an upvote so it appears he upvoted himself. On the other side if you have a highly ratioed post with one upvote you upvote yourself so it doesn't look like you upvoted yourself.

Only retards won’t understand it. As proven by someone understanding it a couple of posts up from this one.
