to coddle kids to engage does not prepare them for real life, and sets them up for failure.
stop the participation trophies, fail kids that don't pass, and remove the ones that disrupt classes of those who want to learn
Let's go there.
The vast majority of teachers do fail kids. Then mom and dad go complain to the principal / administration / school board, and the failure is reversed.
A number of schools out there that have policies that you can't give a kid below a 60. That's a school / district policy.
Teachers aren't allowed to discipline kids. They can refer them to the office, but the office just tells the kid "do better" and sends them back to class.

Kids... are customers.
And look... everyone knows there are bad teachers and they know who the bad teachers are.
Just go ask any group of teachers at any school... they will tell you who all the terrible teachers are.

I think this must be eroding your social skills and your sense of community / personal interactions. I'm not trying to be ugly. I'm dead serious.
I haven’t always worked from home, and I have a large social circle. I’ve just never used work as a place to meet friends.

So is Brook(e) a male or female? That's one of those names that could go either way

Do you think your co-workers should never be personable at work? Or do you respect their desire to be personable?
If two co-workers decide to spend their lunch hour talking about non-work things, should they be fired?

Rumor around school is that they were trying to extort money out of him and when he didn't pay they turned him in.
Looked like he was reading something

A school football game or a school concert is a school sanctioned event. Even then, if the teacher is going to this event just to be there for a single student, it's fricking weird.

Lack of accountability by parents, law officials, and government is what led our country to where it is, not teachers.
It’s easy and popular to blame teachers, but you’re way off base.
If you think kids are willing to learn from someone who shows no personality, I have some ocean front property in Arizona for rent.
As for this dude, it’s an embarrassment he was fired by not 1 but two schools.

They are both consenting adults, I don't give a shite what they do.

Showing personality =/= having a personal relationship with students. It's amazing that some of you don't understand the difference.

These teachers get caught up in all the drama that kids in high school get caught up in and lose sight of their role.

Well....that's pretty damning.
