Under none of these scenarios is the teacher any less guilty or not morally culpable. If scenario 3 is the reality, then I think we can agree that Brooke was also in the wrong. Under scenario 2, I think I give Brooke a pass. At worst, she got a little overzealous, Chris Hansen-style.

That’s one way of looking at it, and I strongly disagree with it.

Teen girls are sometimes attention seekers. Teachers know this. Teen girls WILL flirt with teachers. Teachers know this. It is 100% the duty of the teacher to be the adult and not go there.

getting involved in "student relationships" aka grooming, if you realize it or not.

i mean are there some weirdos that are doing this? definitely. but 99% of teachers aren't doing anything to groom your kids. being able to have a conversation with a kid, talking them through something, and being supportive isnt grooming or weird. It's being human.

now are there a lot of idiots teaching and are there alot of people that are extremely misguided politically? definitely. but the amount trying to groom or do shady shite are extremely low.

teacher grooming, activism, etc is what has gotten us where we are as a society

look at the US's test scores. Look at how many trans-groomed kids there are. look at current state of the labor pool.

teachers results for the last 10 (20) years speak volumes. all by the outcomes.

look at the statements put out but the (most powerful) teachers union. heck, the teachers union didn't want to teach during covid.

no, preach all you want, but teachers are gonna have to own this. It's the college teachers on down, and you that have caused the greatest destruction to our youth ever.

to coddle kids to engage does not prepare them for real life, and sets them up for failure.

stop the participation trophies, fail kids that don't pass, and remove the ones that disrupt classes of those who want to learn

in other words DO YOUR JOB!

its funny i do all those things but somehow you have your mind made up that i dont.

I cant help that that same kid goes home to parents who dont give a shite or who come up to the school throwing a fit when I do correct them. Or help the fact that someone sitting in a office that hasnt set foot in a classroom for more than two minutes in 20 years is making decisions that handcuff me at every turn. but yea its all my fault.

Apparently this guys uncle is a football coach at STM and the attorney that represented him for his case in Arkansas was the father in law of another stm football coach

So STM was likely aware of the previous incident and hired him anyway

I have nothing personal with you, but if you were the majority, and not one of a few, we would not be here

in all other jobs, you are judged by YOUR performance

just not teachers

and society as a whole suffers

Per the KLFY article, his attorney stated that NVHS was told about the investigation before they hired him. fricking imbeciles.

Heads should roll, then. The coaches and the principal at minimum. But they won't.

the reason the show did so well was because it was an insanely accurate reflection of the times.

So a high school teacher should not attend a high school football game for the school they work at?

What if the piano concert was a school piano concert?

Should teachers be meeting up with kids at the mall? Absolutely not. Have there been times when my teacher wife sees her students at the mall? Yes, they say hello, move on.
