Just got a CPAP and my question is what if anything can you do not to have the imprints of the mask on your face in the AM, LOL.
I have to wear a mask over my nose and mouth.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a cure for physics.

You can get that new FDA approved mask less CPAP system where they stimulate your nerves while you sleep. You just have to get a small procedure done. Basically the system slightly stimulates the muscles around your passageway while you sleep to maintain the breathing quality. There's a flat device that sits on your chest and a wireless device that is placed next to the bed.

My dentist made me a mouthpiece which looks like an old school retainer. I get the best sleep with it. Holds the lower jaw forward and I don't require a cpap machine.

Also, as mentioned above, lose weight.

I have the Amara View mask and I only have the strap marks on my face if I sleep on my right side.

I've adjusted the straps but there's really no way to completely eliminate this.

Did you try a Phillips Dreamwear? It's what I use, least invasive mask I've ever worn and works great.

Very uninformed. Sleep apnea can affect all different shapes and sizes.

My brother-in-law, 6-2" 215 works out religiously and very fit has to use a cpap machine.

Obviously the large majority of CPAP dudes are overweight, but a fair number aren't.

I'm close to two - a cousin who is a big time wakeboarder and fitness freak, and a Marine officer who is big into BJJ and a bunch of other stuff. Besides being pretty fitness conscious, both are pretty slim/lean guys to begin with.

I had to get a cpap about five years ago and doc hit me with that full facemask thing. No bueno, went and bought the nasal mask (Resmed Airfit p10) and never looked back.

The imprints don't last very long. Are you running to the office as soon as you get out of bed?

He obviously breathes thru his mouth while asleep. Nasal mask wouldn't do him any good.
