I’ll keep it short as this is such a redundant topic.
Husband (no pics) tested positive. Low temp, no taste or smell, aches but said over all it was not enough for him to have stayed home if he wasn’t required to.
The kids and I didn’t quarantine much from him during that time.. none of us developed symptoms.
Assuming we were probably all positive (I know there is a chance we weren’t) it’s still crazy to me that as contagious as it is... none of us had symptoms.
I also learned recently because of me telling friends and neighbors we were having to quarantine, that most everyone has already had it. I guess there’s a whole litany of reasons why someone wouldn’t want to announce it- that’s fine.

However... all of them said they were either asymptomatic or that it just felt like a cold at the most.

If MOST of the people we know have in fact had it and it wasn’t enough discomfort to stay home in a non-pandemic world... then I feel like less people would be panicking/ media wouldn’t have much to hype about.

What were your experiences? Thoughts?

Wasn’t short. Sorry! Downvote away.

News cycle disagrees with you. One look at the statistics tells the truth, but with news having death totals on the screen 24/7 kinda skews some people's perception

My brother's wife had it and then a couple months later one of his kids had it. In neither case did they infect anyone else in the household. It doesn't always happen.

If you don't have symptoms there is no reason to get tested or to quarantine.

I agree. His work required the test. We work for the same company, different offices so I stayed home for a bit just in case.. I hate being nervous that I would get in trouble for not reporting.

Everyone who's sneezed or coughed once in 2020 is convinced they've had covid.

My spouse and I were exposed several times in the spring and neither of us got sick. Last month we had a wedding (100+, no masks), flew to a resort, stayed for a week without wearing masks, and flew back home. By MSM logic we should be hospitalized, right? Or at a minimum jailed for hosting a "super-spreader" event It's been a month. No one got sick.

It's the fatality rate and number of deaths that are of concern. Many don't experience much with Covid but many also do.

Unless your work takes temp and requires a test to return.

Both of which are extremely low. And that's assuming all the Covid deaths are being reported correctly. Which of course they're not.

Parents both in their 60s have it.

Both ran fever for a few hours. They seem to both be recovering fine. Just feeling tired and run down. No breathing issues at all.

Well anecdotally I do know people who have died of Covid. I don't know anyone who has died of flu if we're still using that comparison.

That goes for most viruses.

Do you believe about 250,000 have died of Covid in the US in less than a year? Or is that made up/fake news?

This was the case for my wife and family. She tested positive and had those symptoms, me and the kids had nothing.

3 million people die in this country each year.

Well being that La is counting anyone who ever got COVID as a COVID death, even if they are separated by weeks or months and includes car accidents, ODs, suicides, gun shot wounds, etc etc etc,

Yeah, I’d say the 250,000 is likely not an accurate indicator of COCID being a direct link to cause of death.
