Gotta think it’s similar, or we would hear people daily shouting from the rooftops that the absurd mandates in CA are working?

LINK
This has Georgia at 73 deaths per 100k
California at 44 per 100k
NJ and NY still on top

If by similar you mean significantly less you would be right

Friend,
It appears the mandates in California are working. California is a marvelous state, a state I commend to your travels with the highest of regards. The people in general were so friendly! The food was phenomenal and the natural gifts God has given there are breathtaking.

a more realistic approach would be deaths per day per capita to see where things stand now vs. in Feb/March/April

So, COVID?

Tennessee at 43/100k
Similar restrictions to Georgia I believe.
Gotta keep in mind, California is gonna take longer to move past this with all their restrictions. Georgia likely closer to herd immunity

California’s death toll is higher because they have wild coyotes out there that drag children around

In general, the more brown your population is, the higher the death rate. The correlation is much higher for skin color than it is for masks or mandates.

Friend, that is debatable.

Friend, you must not have had lengthy discussions with said people or your opinion may be swayed.

One could argue California is healthier, which is why their deaths are lower per capita. Or one can argue that Fuhrer Newsome and his policies are working. Just depends on what side you are on.

Working? Working to destroy human life possibly.
Life is meant to be lived, not spent cowering in a corner.
There is no way around this virus. The way out is through it.
California is only putting off the inevitable. The virus will pass through that population.
This is a highly contagious but mild illness for almost everyone. I'm not saying for most people, I'm saying for almost everyone.
The fear and restrictions are completely out of line relative to the threat.

Michigan has the governor with maybe the strictest stance on covid
74 deaths per 100k
Florida has the governor with maybe the loosest stance on covid
75 deaths per 100k

Florida also has a large contingent of retirees in state.

The per capita death rates are heavily influenced by population density and racial makeup.
