Which of those countries has the largest refugee population? Honest question.

Hell, I have no idea. Just did a quick search for recent numbers. I don't think that you can really judge the efficacy of the Sweden approach until this pandemic burns itself out and we get final numbers on deaths around the world. For all anyone knows Denmark, Norway, etc will see a second wave that puts their numbers closer to Sweden's. Time will tell.

Sweden also had people not whining about masks and actually socially distanced something this board doesn't like to do

Deflect! Deflect! DEFLECT!

Anything to keep from facing the fact that what you thought was the answer to this pandemic is continually being proven to be the WRONG ANSWER!

So op is comparing the 3 countries as if they are the same size. That’s what I figured

Perhaps this virus is one that thrives in warmer weather, considering the spikes in the US South in the summer, etc.

I think it has to do with people crowded together. Blew up in cold states when people couldn’t go out and in the south when it got too hot to stay out.

Why are countries acting differently over face masks?

The scientific evidence around the effectiveness of face masks in combatting the spread of infection is weak, which is why different countries have arrived at different recommendations.

Some countries have chosen to view face masks as a form of security and hope that universal use of face masks will reduce the risk of infection spreading from people who are in the incubation period, before the symptoms are apparent, or who have such mild or unspecific symptoms that they do not consider themselves ill.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden does not recommend the general use of face masks, as a face mask that itches or slips down below the nose may mean a person is regularly touching their mouth, eyes or nose with their hands, which can increase the risk of the infection spreading.

Use of a facemask may also encourage people with mild symptoms to go out into the community, which might increase the spread of infection.

My God. No wonder their people trust the government there. They use common sense and the science that actually involves real human behavior. Good for them.

They like food, they smoke and sleep in the middle of the day. I always thought it was so strange that things closed down and a lot of places dont open back up after their siesta.

Why is the vertical axis of that graph not linear? The bottom of the graph is zero. The middle is 5 and the top is 50.

It skews the visual interpretation of the data.

Another thing about the mask which goes back to the gloves and all strange shite ive seen at the grocery store.

You are going around touching things then touching your damn mask. If you actually walked around without and mask and just sanitize your hands once completely done, you are way better off than just using a mask.

The mask gives people a false sense of security. How many of our citizens are washing that mask daily? Probably only a handful. women just have several laying around their car to match their outfit. Those things arent being cleaned.

Yep. It’s making people do less rather than more to combats germs.

The difference between the Swedish government and American government couldn't be more stark.

1) CDC bungles the initial COVID response (recall them not allowing states to test and then sending out bunk tests), states enact lockdowns out of panic causing major job losses (and don't stem the tide of COVID, just kicks the can down the road) so what does the government do? Bring in mask mandates to take the blame off them and turns you against your fellow citizens.

2) California is burning. Instead of accepting blame for shitty regulations and forest management, CA governor blames climate change so that he can wash his hands of it and you can blame your fellow citizens.

3) 2003 Iraq War. No explanation of how shitty the government behaved needed.

4) Waco/Ruby Ridge

5) Vietnam War

I could go on and on. No one should trust the US government. They have done very little since WW2 to deserve it.

I’ll assume the graph isn’t able to shoot straight up for USA and all of our dead bodies .

I know but it’s done on a 7 day average for no reason other than to highlight a difference that isn’t as pronounced on the bottom half of the chart.

have any medical experts come out to show the comparisons of infection --> deaths rates between countries with respect to the body/health types?

my basic logic tells me that Sweden & Switzerland likely have some of the healthiest humans on the planet due to their lifestyles & minimal obesity rates.

To save Sweden a little dignity . . . but I guess I wrongly assumed people who can find their way here know how to read a graph.
