Has anyone been here? How is the drive from Montego Bay to the Resort?

Couples usually provides a shuttle bus. They have a lounge in the airport where you can drink Red Stripe till your bus is ready to go. I haven't been to Tower Isle, but been to Negril. Our bus even stopped about mid-way to Negril to get more Red Stripe and jerked chicken from a roadside bar.

Sounds like a good time. Never been to Jamaica, going this summer. You hear mixed reviews about it.

I have been to a lot of countries in the world and Jamaica is on the shortlist of places I will not drive myself.

I loved the resort. Jamaica itself was a shithole.

Drive was pain in arse from what i remember. The resort makes up for it. I would go back.

India. If you’ve ever watched large flocks of birds fly and change direction all at the same time, then you have an idea about drivers in Indian cities. Lanes mean nothing.

It is a beautiful place marred with abject poverty. As long as you stay on the resort you will only see it on the drive-in and out. That said the tons of waterfalls are a must-see/do.

For us, Jamaica was a one and done.

Swept Away in Negril was nice. The bus ride from the airport to the resort was the scaredest I’ve ever been in my life.

My wife and I went back in 2010. We had a good time. The drive from MB to the resort was a couple hours I think. The bus stopped along the way for a break and a drink.

We enjoyed the resort. I camped out at the swim up bar the entire time and stayed drunk. It was quiet and relaxing. The only disturbing thing was seeing the people who were going out to the nude island that is out in the cove. I would have never gone out there with those fatty weirdo's.

If you go to the waterfalls for an expedition, don't get caught up in the market on the walk back to the bus. Those people will swallow you up with requests to buy shite. STAY WITH THE GROUP.

Fact. The first time I went we went to Negril. It was about an hour or hour and a half. I was nervous as frick the whole drive. So the next time we went we just decided on Montego Bay. Awesome time though.

I havent done Towers Isle, but we did go to Couples San Souci. Like previous poster said, Couples provides a shuttle for you (bring cash to tip the shuttle driver). We loved our stay. Would definitely go back.

Last time I was in Negril I Flew down alone for a wedding so had to take the shuttle alone. It was actually a pretty drive for the most part And not too long, and the driver pointed out every place a movie was shot on the way

Anyone looking at Jamaica should check out The Rockhouse. Best vacation of my life even though
I was mostly alone
