Anyone else on Pickett, close to Hyacinth, hear/see the cops at 4am? Curious as to what was going down. Looked to be serious with speed of cops flying through side streets.

This is perfect for the OT. I can't believe no one looked it up. Guy ran from the cops because he had a hooker in the car and "didn't want his wife to find out."
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a man and woman after a chase through Baton Rouge early Tuesday morning, and said the driver told them he fled because he didn't want his wife to find out he was with a prostitute.
BRPD charged Paul Baker, 38, with aggravated flight, resisting arrest, and driving without headlights on. Police also charged Sarah Wright, 24, with resisting an officer.
Investigators said they spotted Baker's vehicle sitting in the middle of the street without lights on in an area known for prostitution. When they approached officers said the vehicle tried to drive away without its lights on, which is when police tried to pull Baker over.
Instead of stopping, police said Baker drove through red lights and got onto I-10. Police said he got on and off the interstate in an attempt to lose police, driving 80 miles per hour through neighborhoods with a speed limit of 25 or 35 mph. At one point police said Baker almost hit a garbage truck and crashed when he tried to exit the interstate.
Police said Wright got out of the vehicle and ran as Baker continued to drive in reverse to get away from pursuing officers, throwing sparks out from under his car. One officer caught Wright while the rest pursued Baker until he bailed out of his car on St. Rose Street. Police and a K-9 chased Baker down, and officers said he punched the dog when it caught him and police who tried to arrest him.
Investigators said once he was handcuffed, Baker told them he had recently gotten married and ran from police because he didn't want his wife to find out he was with a prostitute. Police said Baker is also a convicted felon for charges of armed robbery, dealing drugs and possession of stolen things.
Both Baker and Wright were booked into the parish prison.
