re: Cop spits in man's face. No charges. Man who was spat on, gets arrested

No different from a traditional reporter doing the same thing. For example. Chris Nakamoto showing up with his notepad and a cameraman.
Just like anyone else, jurnalists must leave private property when told to do so.

Cop stepped into a world of shite. Sean 100 percent will sue the cop. His pay will definitely come out in the trial. Cop instigated this when he could have just closed door. There was no threat that he needed to retrieve his gun, and he was itching to use it. Had there been no cameras he may have done so.
You have no duty to do any of this on your own property.

protecting one’s grass isn’t a thing here
Its trespassing. The exact crime the guy was charged with. Like I said, a sidewalk was provided for normal egress. The youtuber chose to trepass into the mans yard. Why do you think the meme "Get off my lawn" even exists? Because thats trespassing on a persons property
And the guy was fully aware of his action, otherwise his car wouldnt have been parked way out on the street, while he advanced up the private drive, and into the yard. If you know enough to leave your car parked on public property, you also know not to walk on private property

It's not trespass unless you are asked to leave and refuse to do so. (Otherwise, anybody who ever knocked on your door would be subject to arrest....jehova's witnesses, girl scouts, anybody.) Unless there is a posted sign, which there was not. Guy was asked to leave and immediately started walking backwards toward the cul-de-sac. This was not a trespass.

The journalist should've spit in the cops face and it would've forced them to arrest both the little cop and the journalist. Charges on both would inevitably be dropped.
Can't have one and not the other. Cop at the end was probably a rookie (and an hypocritical idiot).

Alright Cletus. Calm down. No need to embellish the story. He never engaged the pycho by yelling and was never trespassing.

Wait, this guy drove from Long Island to Conn. and entered a state troopers private property, just so he could film it? And he wants to claim to be the victim? The fact that he was charged with criminal trespass is proof that he has no clue about people and their right to privacy. Thats a long arse secluded driveway he walked up. So its not like he can claim public access or anything
Yeah im confused here

The auditors on YT have shown just how uneducated people are about trespass, both public and private, cops included.
Anyone could walk up to the cops house and knock. If asked to leave them you must leave. Walking on the grass is irrelevant.
Where's the trespassing here? Tiny grabbed his gun and escalated the situation as Sean was leaving.

This was not a trespass.
Except for the part where he left his car way down the driveway, on public property
If he knew not to bring his car up the driveway, then he also knew he wasnt welcomed to come stand in the guys lawn, and create a video, of stuff he couldnt access from public property

I know his name as I watched the video. Would you be okay if I just called him the YouTube guy? Happy then?
What a infantile thing to latch on to but you be you. You must be besties with Tiny

A cop called police to give a guy a hard time for giving him a hard time
That those cops filed charges isn’t proof of guilt. Plenty of mediocre arrests happen.
Was he poking the bear? Sure. Unfortunately for the bear, there’s law in place.
Now that he’s trespassed and there’s a restraining order the bear can’t be poked but these charges probably get dropped

I absolutely love how you just deflect from what is obvious involvement with this guy somehow. The cop is no hero in this situation, but your buddy is fricking dork that goes out looking for trouble. How many successful lawsuits has he been involved in?
Posted on 7/16/25 at 9:52 am to cardswinagain
both people are in the wrong, when the cop told him to get off his property it becomes trespassing and the cop should have just called the on duty cops to handle it.
