Confederate statue hater retires from NOFD. No word on keeping the hedgehog above his lips

After more than seven years in charge of the New Orleans Fire Department, Superintendent Tim McConnell is retiring from the agency, officials said Wednesday.
McConnell joined the NOFD in 1984 and climbed the ranks to assistant superintendent when his predecessor, Charles Parent, went on leave in February of 2013. He assumed the reins of the Fire Department then, and Mayor Mitch Landrieu tapped him to become the full-time superintendent in July of 2013, choosing him over 40 applicants during a national search.
A City Hall source said McConnell is retiring “1000% on his own terms.” His retirement takes effect Friday.
That's a lot of terms.

No doubt this guy made a small fortune helping carry out Landrieu's dirty work.
The source was probably the mayor, who doesn't even know this math doesn't make sense.

I don’t know many firefighters that were a fan of this guy. He’s been a whipping boy for Mitch and Latoya with furloughing firefighters which is the only reason he even had the position.

There was a poster a while back that went on and on for pages about this guy. He definitely had the same sentiments.

He wore a ski mask when they took down REL. He was outed because you could still make out his geeky moustache and Elmer Fudd countenance.

From a 2013 NOLA article:
That's from a 2013 article, so I'd guess he was making significantly more than that seven years later.

McConnell's annual salary will begin at $145,000. Parent, who served as superintendent for 11 years, had a salary of $154,000 at the time he retired.

I’ve waited a long time to say this on here, because he was my boss, but frick that piece of shite, backstabbing cuck.
So much about that guy I could say.
Needless to say it’s the greatest day amongst firefighters in a very very long time.
