Speaking to CBS to promote his new graphic comic memoir, Kaepernick gave the example of his mother telling him corn rows were not professional.

He claims she told him he 'looked like a little thug' when he showed her the hairstyle.

'I know my parents loved me. But there were still very problematic things that I went through. I think it was important to show it can happen in your own home and how we move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.'

That's not the same thing as calling them racist at all.

He was basically talking about how his parents didn't understand how and why black people style their hair in certain ways and how the language they used was unintentionally hurtful.

Y'all need to stop posting bullshite click bait from a rag like The Daily Mail.

Something tells me his biological dad was a black panther and his biological mom was a feminist rapper.

What a grateful guy. Gee, his parents weren't perfect "for him". Oh how he suffered. Now he puts them under the racist bus and backs over them. What a Guy!

Corn rows ARE unprofessional.

Are there any legitimate arguments against this?

I see white people with them as well. Point stands.
