I called and spoke with the Mississippi Gaming Commission today. I was told that as of their latest meeting (a week ago) they have not made any changes on mask requirements. Supposedly they will “continue to evaluate this” at each monthly meeting. The next one is scheduled for late May, and this commission is absolutely the group making the first and last call as it relates to this matter.

This is just an FYI to those that are considering a Beau trip or similar in the near future. It was great to see all of the Ole Miss fans in their baseball stadium enjoying life as it should be lived. The masks change the entire coast casino experience, and although some will say it doesn’t matter, it’s information that can be useful in planning (or not planning) a visit.

I was also told that if changes are made that it would be shown in letter form on their website FWIW

Masks are harmful and cause spread of contagion due to contamination. They need to be outlawed as a requirement.

I went to the MS Gulf Coast recently. We went to multiple bars and restaurants. Listened to live music, danced, at and drank. Never stepped foot on a casino floor. They'll never see my business again if they continue to require masks, and I like to gamble.

The video poker bar at the Beau won't make you wear a mask while you are there drinking. The bad news is that I just hit the royal flush last weekend on Jacks or Better so it probably won't be ready to hit again for a while. For a $1.25 bet $1,200.00 plus was a nice payoff.

I was at Beau on April 2 and only the chick at front that checks IDs enforced it. No one told my group after as we were all maskless

The contrast between the casino environment and a bar or restaurant in Mississippi couldn’t be any bigger than right now. Most people feel as you do as far as who they want to support. I know I’m in that boat.

And the above poster makes a damn good point about masks being a contagion. It’s crystal clear now that their sole purpose is to muzzle the population and reduce individuality.

Are the table games still split with plexiglass or are all seats available now?

Just poker rooms from what I saw in Bay St Louis.

I've noticed they've stopped with the temperature checks

You can lower your mask while smoking or drinking. But it’s masks on if any other time. I kept a drink in my hand while standing by the baccarat table and never had an issue.
My buddies had to chain smoke while playing poker tho or the pit boss would bitch at them.

The last two times we've been to Hollywood BSL we've been kicked out. Each time they have said "suspicion of inebriation" after someone in our group ordered a drink. I will be the first to admit if we deserve the boot but neither time was anywhere near it. We ended up going to the Slipper and having a good time. It just sucks because the Hollywood is a 5 minute boat ride or 10 minute taxi from the camp. Hopefully they won't be so strict about shite after covid or we won't be wasting our time.

Man Smoking Through Mask In Vegas

Hollywood BSL

Did you have to wait 30 minutes to make a sports bet on the kiosk because a black guy was making a $5 7-team parlay. This shite is way worst than the masking restrictions. Almost got thrown out 2 weeks ago for calling a guy out.
