Christian Cooper, the bird-watching Black man who was the target of false accusations during an encounter in New York City's Central Park in 2020, has a new TV show airing on National Geographic.
The channel announced this week that Cooper, a lifelong bird-watcher, will host a series called Extraordinary Birder. In the series, Cooper will take viewers into the "wild, wonderful and unpredictable world of birds," according to National Geographic.

Sounds like a cool show as long as they don’t woke it up.

Sounds like the accuser committed the Cardinal sin of accusing a black man of something.

When is black birding week?

This guy getting a show is a joke.
I remember this well. While white lady acted pretty bad, the loser filming was also an a-hole and made a veiled threat to her, which most people ignore.
ETA, after reading the article, it came to light that the "Karen" had awful reception when talking to 911 dispatcher. The audio in the article makes her barely understandable, so it actually explains a lot about why she kept repeating herself. Wow. Without that context, you would think that she was just trying to overly emphasize that he was black, when that wasn't the case at all. Jesus.

This is expected and really it's nothing to crow about.

The push for birding to be more inclusive to black people is real, and pretty odd. Its definitely a constructive thing to get into though, and the more the merrier.

Correct; and he also had a purported history of acting in a threatening manner to other people with dogs.

And the birds are watching you, creating an infinite loop.

So he asked her to put the dog on the leash and she freaked out?
