My child got into Our Lady of Mercy and Sacred Heart in BR. I'm having a hard time deciding. Any info on either school that could help in my decision?

Mercy is better. Moscona is a good principal.

I knew people that went to each. They never had anything good to say about them. But they also never had much bad to say either.

I hope you find this information helpful.

John Bennett is retiring so that place is going to start going downhill quickly without him.

Proud St. Al grad here, so I hope I'm wrong. But he made that place what it is today.

I went to school at Sacred Heart. No complaints at all, but I'd probably still choose OLOM.

It honestly doesn't matter, all the kids from csal end up at sja/catholic if their parents love them anyway

Agreed. Graduated from there as well. The next principal is going to have some big shoes to fill. He is a great guy.

Well Sacred Heart is literally the worst Catholic middle school in BR, so I'd go with Mercy if those are the two you're considering- although they're not exactly lightyears ahead of SH. St. George, St. Aloyisius, St Jude, Most Blessed Sacrement, and St. Thomas More are all good schools with pretty good facilities.

We're trying to figure this out as well for our non-existent children. We live pretty much equidistant to SAS, Mercy, and SH.

Don't really have an issue with any of the three parishes but want to make a move now based on the school.

St. Aloysius will always be good. Just a lot easier to get in SH and OLOM

It doesn't matter. She's still going to get the same shitty college education either way.

I'm glad we don't have to worry about all that up here in Washitaw Parish.

You went to Sacred Heart but would still choose OLOM....any particular reason why?

Mercy is far better. Good at sports and academics. Safer area of town too
