Trying to book a trip to Seaside with the family soon and I was wondering if I can rent something or not.

If it’s greater than 14 days and you agree to not leave your rental for the first 2 weeks. Sounds like a blast!

Nope Florida Governor is trying to bankrupt all short term rental properties on the panhandle.

Think outside the box. Do you know anyone from a different state that would let you use their name and address? You can still give your email for the important stuff. The rental companies want you there. You have to help them, help you.

You think you can keep us out of Florida? We're moving in lock, stock and barrel. We're gonna be in the pool. We're gonna be in the clubhouse. We're gonna be all over that shuffleboard court. And I dare you to keep me out!

The people in Alabama have been super friendly and happy to have us at the beach so far.
It will be quite a while before Florida gets any of my money.

Straw man time. My buddy in Tampa likely would book it for you, with a surcharge for his trouble of course.

I own a place in Sandestin. I’m on the owners FB group & a Karen posted about meeting a nice family of 6 from LA & why it wasnt fair a rental company let them rent. Some guy posted a shitty message about Louisiana people, I responded accordingly, then he PM’ed me... Here’s the attitude of the typical “local” (nobodies actually from there):

“I apologize if I offended you. It’s a rental truth down here. Almost everyone I talk to will say people from Louisiana statistically are much less respectful then other people. It’s partially because it’s a easy quick getaway place. It sounds horribly judge mental, but statistically true. I wish it wasn’t the case.”

My response was “you’re full of shite”

Turns out the guys a preacher & owns a pontoon rental place on 30a.

TLDR: FL people are assholes.
