Agree, but so is overregulation.

I’ll never understand the “legalize and tax the hell out of X” crowd. Cool, you’ve now done nothing to end the black market, and all the bad that comes with it, because you’ve guaranteed that the legal market won’t be price competitive.

Its counter productive. The regulation of weed probably dropped supply locally, it was regulated so tightly.

It took two years to get the first product to market because of overly restrictive laws. That's how you keep the black market alive, which is far more "real" than the regulated economy.

This will victimize lower income neighborhoods - the very people the Gavin claims to be protecting.

What decent person wants streetwalkers (and the associated grifters that surround them) in their neighborhood?

He should legalize prostitution and bar streetwalking.

This also will be a big boon to human traffickers.

I don’t think you get it. We need the government to control human trafficking, investigate rape and assault (right now the victims can’t come forward), and remove abusive pimps.

And maybe require health codes like restaurants. Some civilized society type stuff.

“To be clear, this bill does not legalize prostitution,”

Essentially, it does.

So let's take a look at this... No arrests for thefts under $950, no arrests for homeless, prostitutes nor drug dealers loitering wherever and legal firearm ownership and open carrying can be pretty difficult.

Yes, this has all the makings of a wonderful family atmosphere where people can raise their children safely.

People are fleeing California in record numbers, in large part because of laws like these (and others) which Gavin and his progressive cohorts have pushed.

And this thinks he has a shot at the Presidency? Yes, let's make the entire country like California.
