The family was ok with the plea agreement for the lady to just get probation. As the judge, I wouldn't give a shite, the lady gets to spend a good bit of time in jail regardless of whether the family forgave her. They also say the family didn't want their daughter to relive the incident in a trial. frick that. It was so horrific that we just don't want to relive it, just tells me that probation is too light. It's not even a punishment at all. 100 hours of community service is a slap on the wrist too.

quote:
A neighbor who heard the victim’s screams called 911.
According to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, the dogs got out of the house through a back door that Torregrossa failed to close.
They chased Stinchcomb and knocked her to the ground, then they attacked her head, neck and body, crushing her trachea, and ripping off her scalp and an ear.
When deputies arrived and saw the life-threatening mauling that Stinchcomb was undergoing, a deputy shot one of the dogs, sending both animals scurrying back to Torregrossa’s home, where they were captured and subsequently euthanized, and where their owner was arrested.

The dogs are dead, that is the important thing
But they better keep an eye on the owner, trash will probably get another trash dog

That's another sickening part, she still has a chihuaua and a "mutt" and the judge says she can keep them and even get more, as long as the breeds are what she already has.... a chihuaua and a "mutt".
Probably a Soros judge.

She will get a pit or rottweiler “mutt”

According to the article, the maximum sentence for the original charge was one year. The article doesn’t say, but the ADA likely reduced it to a misdemeanor pursuant to the plea. Rejecting the plea deal and forcing the kid to go through a trial for the sake of a few months isn’t something most judges would be willing to do, for good reason.
And the guilty plea can now be used in any future civil action.

Not all muts are created equal, but some should live next to the judge.
OK, this happened in Georgia so I can understand the high school having that mascot, but when I read she be rejoining the Bulldoggs marching band it was an odd feeling.

Trashy owner then raises two brand new puppies into aggressive dogs.
What then?

The kid didn’t die. I imagine a decade or two of tax refunds would probably be worth filing the judgment.

Probably related to former Georgia star and Saints Pro Bowl tackle Jon Stinchcomb and brother Matt Stinchcomb who also played in the NFL.

She absolutely should have gotten jail time.

Owner should have been euthanized with dogs

Or at least put in a room that has no way out with aggressive dogs

I'm betting dollars to donuts you can at least max out her Homeowner's policy since the dogs escaped from her house to attack that young girl.
And I'm going to double down and say her policy probably has a clause in it that she can't have particular breeds of dogs in her home or yard, and that likely includes pits, boxers, rotties, dobermans, chows, akitas and German shepherds.
