I'm 64 now, but I act like I'm 15. I paid my dues being a responsible adult and raising a couple of little shits like you. I'm going to enjoy my remaining years on this Earth, and I'm not leaving you a dime. I'm going to spend it all.

I don’t understand this. Could you give me some insight? My mom acts like this and I think she is under the impression that she has two kids who will pick up the pieces if she fricks up. I expect nothing from here, but I also feel she’s in for a rude awakening when neither of us move her into our house to care for her.

Let’s get something straight here. I didn’t ask to be here. Your children didn’t ask to be here. Why did you have kids? Were you forced into it? Pressured that it was the responsible thing to do? If so, im sorry. That really sucks. But that doesn’t give you the right to act like an a-hole.

I think you need to understand. We will abandon you. You aren’t our children.

Each holiday they get nutttier and nuttier. I don’t remember the previous generation acting the fool as they got older like this.

We prefer the terms incontinent eccentricity or robust eccentricity.

First of all, my reply to OP was facetious.

My own mother is 92. She is still fully independent and sharp as a tack. I think she is an exception. Also, my mom is very shrewd financially. She was never anything more than a secretary, but she invested her money wisely. I am very fortunate.

My mother in law is 85, and is losing it mentally. I foresee having to take care of her much sooner than having to take care of my own mom.

My mom, since she has a big pile of cash, has a very good insurance policy for if she ever needs to go into a long-term care facility.

I have told her - spend all your money before you die or leave it to your grandkids. I don't want it.

My MIL has nothing other than the 5th wheel that she lives in.

I am following my mom's lead and have set things up so that my wife and I will never be dependent on our kids.

So for you guys who think all of us Boomers are selfish, you can kindly go frick yourselves.

So, a normal day in Houston?

Yeah pretty much but I would describe it as more hectic than usual. It was the overpopulation of people meeting the present day don’t give a frick attitude. Parking lots and in the store was just a mad house.
