If anything, exposing for darker skin would make the images lighter.

Shitty lighting (backlit, or night time) is going to make for shitty photos, regardless of the race of the subject.

Good photographers know to fix this problem and sometimes the issue is the photo is actually processed too dark. Easy fix.

They show up on your security cameras pretty good when you pair it with a decent flood light.

Wait, is it not common knowledge that color photography was initially, and intentionally, calibrated for lighter complexions?
